| Thank you all, for all the hours of painful, exhausting work you put in. There are clearly no words adequate enough to express the debt we all owe you. As a community, as a state, as someone who wept for the lives lost and the courage shown by firefighters and victims alike we all owe you so much. | |

| Dear Firemen Thank you very much do I actually don’t know what to say. I f it wasn’t for you then lots more people would have died and lots of other things would have happened. Some people have perished and I feel so sorry for them. I think it is very horrible that some people (arsonists) light fires deliberately. I feel very sorry for all the people having to rebuild their lives. Sally | |

| Dear Firemen, Thank you so much for trying your hardest to save people from the Victorian bushfires. It has really helped us and some people that have died and nearly died.
I realise now how important it is that there are some firemen around nowadays.
Please keep up your great work so that people can keep on enjoying their lives.

| Dear Firemen, I am in Year 4C at Jamboree Heights state school and I am writing to you to thank you for saving all those people and animals from the Victorian bush fires and the floods in north Queensland. So many people died but thank you for saving so many others. Many people would have lost their lives if it wasn’t for you.
Thank You
Brendan

| As a retired Ambulance Paramedic of 27 years and being involved in the 1983 fires in the Dandenongs I have a full understanding and comprehesion of what emergency workers go through both mentally and physically but I do not hesitate to say that the bravest of all are those on the front line, the fire fighters. Thank you all most sincerely. You are true heroes. | |
