To all firefighters, I wish to thank you for all your hard work fighting the fires this and every season. I commend your courage and selflessness at times like these. I was at Kinglake West on the 7th of February and I saw first hand what you faced. Your effortsare truly legendary in fighting in such an unprecedented event. You are true heroes.

Although I have no relatives or family in Victoria, it was moving to see the persistence and determination of all the fire fighters. Thank you for giving hope to those who needed it the most and also for not forgetting the distraught animals who were affected as well.

I am Lara and I am 8 years old and I think you have done an amazing job saving peoples lives and home. You must have been so scared. You are just so brave. they were really bad fires.

I feel proud to be Australian when I contemplate the selflessness and hard work displayed by all of you firefighters.
I have not been at risk personally, but know others who have, and on their behalf, I thank you.
"I Thank You" does not convey the depth and breadth of the feelings in my heart, they are beyond words.
Please know that I pray for you and yours daily and will continue to do so.

I would like to thank the fire crews who came out to 90 Ryans Rd Lysterfield during the fires on Monday 23rd of Feburary. Special thanks to Shane Lee (CFA volunteer) who was the first person to arrive. As i had put our fire plan into action he helped by starting the fire pump and hosing the house down. A big thankyou to ALL CFA members and staff who are putting their own lives at risk helping us.

Im not in VIC, but I have friends down there, and would like to say THANK YOU to the firies, for the amazing jobs they are doing. You might say, But Im only doing my job... This job goes over and beyond the call of duty... you guys are Angels. Without you, we wouldnt be here.
