It takes a special type of person to be a firefighter,
to risk your own life to save a strangers is something truly special,
with out you firies, far more would of been lost, and many more would of died
you have my greatest respect

please take care..!.......i fret when i hear of bushfires ...!and get frustrated....when...i am aware many of those fires are caused by Arson...!.....being brave is admirable...but the loss of a husband/wife.....son //daughter....brother.../sister by trying to help....we the public....well we really would consider the loss of a life in that situtation ....absolutely

As both a Paramedic working with firefighters on occasion and as a resident having lived through the Ash Wednesday fires I think all the firefighters do a great job. Your dedication is appreciated and you professionalism is recognized.

This is the West Kelowna fire they are fighting right now.

I would like to personally thank the firefighters who have come to Kelowna B.C. Canada for a month to help with our fires here. I hear them speaking on the scanners, they have familiarized themselves with the area rea quick and are up there with all the other firefighters from across Canada. Again..A huge thanks...a Kelowna resident..Jan.

On the very last time we had to evacuate our town, we saw the now familiar site of firetrucks coming into the valley in droves as we left the community meeting. Many of you waved to us as you went by and we waved back with a bond of oneness and hope. We were in it together and you had come, from towns all over Australia and the world, to help us. Thank you so much, endlessly thank you.

A very big thank you for all the excellent work you all do in the face of danger to save lives and property.

Although i dont live in Melbourne,
i wish to simply say thanks on behalf of all the people in Australia.
The job you do is incredible, and is appreciated so much by all of us.

Thanks so much for everything you do,
i only hope perhaps we can all help you guys one day.

Thank you to all of the brave CFA and DSE firefighters who worked tirelessly throughout the entire fire season.
